1 JUNE 2022 until further notice
JT Chiropractic will no longer require staff or patients to wear face coverings following the withdrawal of the governments final Covid-19 IPC rules on 27 May 2022, and the subsequent guidance received from the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), that came into effect at clinic on 6 June 2022.
Whilst it is no longer mandatory for staff or patients to wear a face covering to attend appointments, we understand that some patients/staff may wish to continue to do so, and if you would prefer your practitioner to wear a face covering whilst treating you, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate your wishes.
At JT Chiropractic clinic, we continue in our endeavour in helping to stop the spread of Coronavirus in providing a safe, Covid-19 secure environment, for both patients and staff alike. We will continue to support and be sensitive to all of our patients/staff needs and continue to encourage everyone to follow good hand hygiene measures and provide access to hand sanitiser throughout clinic.
Your Assurance from JT Chiropractic during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic
To provide you the very best care and protection, we monitor closely the information from the UK government, the NHS, the General Chiropractic Council, the British Chiropractic Association, and the Royal College of Chiropractors.
- On the evening of March 23rd, 2020, we took the decision to close JT Chiropractic.
- We partially re-opened as of 2nd June 2020, for urgent cases only.
- We further re-opened from 16th June 2020 (Tuesday-Friday) for all Chiropractic services, whether it be urgent or routine.
- Clinic is still using a one-way system, please enter clinic using the side entrance through the black gate and exit clinic via reception and the front door.
- Check if you have coronavirus symptoms – Coronavirus (COVID-19). If you have symptoms, please do not attend the clinic, instead ring 111 for advice.
- We encourage everyone to follow good hand hygiene measures please wash your hands and use anti-bacterial hand gel upon arrival. We will use single use paper towels and diligently disinfect all contact points and areas possibly exposed in treatment rooms between patients.
- All gowns and towels have been removed from clinic. Please wear appropriate clothing for treatment.
- All practitioners will wear PPE consistent with government and our professional governing body’s advice, regularly wash their hands and monitor/protect their own, and their household’s health.
- Please attend alone where possible, unless you need a chaperone and enter the building from our side entrance (through the black gate) 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
- As of August, we still ask you to please attend alone and to still use our side entrance, which immediately brings you into the ‘original waiting area’. Here we can now invite the next customer to sit and wait after using the sink by the entrance for handwashing.
- Please continue to minimise the belongings you bring with you to the clinic.
- We will only be taking electronic payments; we will not be accepting cash. We ask that you please use the card machine, located at the front desk, for contactless payment. The online booking with payment system or telephone pre-payment if still available to use if you prefer.
- Our ‘at risk’/vulnerable patients (pregnant, over 70, health condition, weakened immune system) were urged not to attend the clinic and to only seek telephone advice from us. As of August, shielding ends and we welcome these patients to return to clinic. However, if you do require face to face care, please contact us so we can make special arrangements for you to have minimal possible contact and exposure.
- While we are taking every precaution to limit your exposure to coronavirus, we cannot guarantee that there is no risk as a result of attending our clinic for treatment. We will request and record your verbal consent in your treatment notes.
